The honest version of who we are and what we're trying to build.
Try buying FPV parts in the UK. Go to any of the half-dozen shops that come up on Google. Count how many items are actually in stock. If you get above 10%, you're doing better than most pilots manage.
The rest is ghost listings — products kept live for search engine rankings and email capture forms. Items discontinued years ago, from manufacturers that no longer exist, listed as “notify me when back in stock.” They're not coming back. The email you give them goes on a marketing list. That's the transaction.
Cinequad exists because that's not good enough.

What we do differently

We only list what we hold.
If it's on the site, it ships tomorrow. When something sells out, it comes off the site until we restock. This is the minimum standard of honesty in retail and somehow a differentiator in this market.

Kits are confirmed before we fulfil.
Our first cohort model means we confirm demand before fulfilling orders. You wait 3–4 weeks. In exchange, you get exactly what you ordered at a price we can sustain — not a guess at what might be popular.

The subscription is matched to your build.
When your kit ships, a consumables subscription activates. It knows your frame size, motor spec, prop pattern, and connector type. Every box is correct. No substitutions, no surprises.

We watch the supply chain so you don't have to.
Commercial drone growth, component availability shifts, regulatory changes — we track what's moving and publish it. If something is about to affect your build, you'll know before it does.

We don't sell email addresses or run ghost listings.
Ever. If you give us your email, you get one message when pre-orders open. That's what you signed up for. That's what you get.
Who we are
UK-based. Active pilots. We've spent enough time flying, crashing, and rebuilding to know the difference between components that look good in a spec sheet and components that hold up under real use.
Our build spec is informed by extended time in the air and a particular interest in what fails and why. Repairability, component interchangeability, and supply chain reliability aren't abstract principles to us — they're the things that determine whether you fly on Saturday or spend it waiting on a delivery.
We're not a warehouse operation pretending to be a community. We're pilots who got tired of the UK FPV retail market being run by people treating hobbyists as a traffic source.
The UK FPV retail gap
Walk into any UK hobby shop. You'll find RC cars. Light aircraft. Maybe some accessories. You will not find FPV parts. The shops that survived the consolidation of UK hobby retail pivoted to higher-margin products with a more stable demographic. FPV pilots — technically literate, research-driven, buying online — weren't the customer they optimised for.
Meanwhile, rapid growth in commercial drone operations — agricultural survey, infrastructure inspection, aerial mapping — has created significant demand pressure on the same components cinematic pilots use. UK pilots face that pressure without the benefit of the local retail infrastructure that exists for other hobbies.
We can't change the structure of UK hobby retail. But we can hold the stock that pilots actually need, absorb the sourcing complexity on your behalf, and be honest about what we have and don't have. That's the entire proposition.
